August 2007: visits to Beijing and to Wuyishan

Hallo !
Mid-August we left for China. Of course, we were thrilled by this new experience. We had been invited by Prof. Daoliang Li of the China Agricultural University to attend the first international conference of computer sciences applied to agriculture which took place in Wuyishan. The hospitality of our chinese friends has been extraordinary, delicate and touching. The organisation of the conference accurate and of high scientific contents: of particular interest, the active participation of young scientists and researchers. Beijing is huge, dynamic, beautiful, modern, full of history and ready to show the best achievements of China’s incredible development in next year’s Olympic Games. Wuyishan is a small, elegant town surrounded by tea fields and natural sites.
We shall certainly come back to this fascinating Country in the future ! ! !

Nella seconda metà di Agosto siamo andati a visitare la Cina. Naturalmente eravamo molto eccitati per questa nuova esperienza !
Siamo stati invitati dal Prof. Daoliang Li dell’ Università Agricola della Cina per partecipare al primo congresso sulle scienze informatiche applicate all’agricoltura che ha avuto luogo a Wuyishan.
L’ospitalità dei nostri amici cinesi é stata straordinaria e delicata: ne siamo molto grati !
La organizzazione del Congresso si è rivelata accurata e di elevato livello scientifico grazie anche all’attiva partecipazione di moltissimi giovani ricercatori.
Beijing è una città immensa, dinamica, bellissima, piena di storia e pronta a far da vetrina, in occasione dei prossimi Giochi Olimpici, alle realizzazioni dell’ incredibile sviluppo cinese.
Wuyishan è una elegante cittadina incastonata tra vasti campi di té e splendide meraviglie naturali.
Siamo certi che torneremo ben presto a visitare questo Paese tanto affascinante !
